Mighty 8th Air Force MuseumThis collection of original aviation photography is Copyright � 1995,1996 unless otherwise noted on individual photographs. License is granted for non-commercial, private viewing only. I had an opportunity to visit the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum in Savannah, Georgia not too long after they opened. Parts of the museum were still being worked on but the exhibits and giftshop were open. There were only a couple of aircraft on display, but there's plenty of other things to read, watch and look at. Be sure to catch the multimedia "Mission Experience"... it's a blast!

Me-109 suspended from the ceiling in the main exhibit area. I was later told, but never confirmed, that both this and the above P-51 are actually full size plastic replicas. If so, they still look great!

Among the museum's displays is this recreation of a POW camp.
